Mayor: Moscow doubles investment in last 5 years
MOSCOW, Feb 7 (PRIME) -- Moscow has become the third largest city in the world by the gross product, and investment doubled in the last five years, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
"Moscow has become the third largest city on the globe by the gross product given the purchasing power parity,” Sobyanin said.
“We doubled investment in the last five years, the processing industry output grew by 40%, even without the Moscow oil refinery, while with the launch of new capacities at the refinery, the processing industry’s output doubled in Moscow."
The mayor forecasted high dynamics of city development in spite of sanctions.
He invited the president to participate in the launch of the Big Circle Line of the metro in a few days, saying that the construction was complete.
